Eriksen Translations was born in 1986 when founder Vigdis Eriksen turned her career as a Norwegian translator into a business. In a Brooklyn artist loft, equipped with a few typewriters and a passionate team of linguists, Vigdis founded a culture of excellence. Since then, it’s been one continuous evolution. Eriksen has diversified its capabilities, expanded into more than 100 languages, and embraced cutting-edge industry technology to support clients around the world. Founder & CEO
Driven by her passion for language, Vigdis Eriksen founded Eriksen Translations in 1986 and grew the company into one of the nation’s top language services providers.
Born in Norway, Vigdis studied English, French, Dutch, and German, along with her native Norwegian. She moved to New York in her 20s to pursue theater, but changed direction to work as a freelance translator. Recognizing the early potential of what would one day become a thriving industry, Vigdis launched her business, Eriksen Translations. Today, she guides the company’s strategic vision and oversees daily operations.
Vigdis is a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), the American Translators Association, the Globalization & Localization Association, and the New York Circle of Translators. In 2014, she was honored as an International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge awardee at the organization’s annual conference in Stockholm, Sweden. Vigdis has been on the Inc. 5,000 list for four consecutive years, has won seven Women Presidents’ Educational Organization Done Deals Challenge awards, as well as a Business Owner’s Council award for Best Company Culture.
Under Vigdis’ leadership, Eriksen Translations is certified as a woman-owned business enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the City and State of New York.
A tireless advocate for the protection of linguists, Vigdis is a founding board member and chair of Red T, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of translators and interpreters working in conflict zones. In her not-so-spare time, Vigdis enjoys travel, the arts, and the innumerable pleasures of life in New York City.
Director of Marketing
As Eriksen’s marketing director, Jen supports the company’s sales and business development efforts by communicating Eriksen’s story, brand, and capabilities.
With degrees in fine arts and graphic and interactive design, Jen held a variety of marketing and communications roles in the fields of art, education, and architecture before joining the Eriksen team in 2013.
Jen loves to hike, bike, and practice yoga when she’s not out training for her next marathon or inside working on a painting or drawing. She is the proud owner of a cuddly hound dog named Cooper.
Director of Sales
Will makes it his business to know our clients’ business. As Director of Sales, he builds long-term partnerships with our clients in the arts and culture, creative services, and publishing fields.
The highlights of Will’s career include fifteen years leading creative and editorial teams for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, directing licensing for the American Museum of Natural History, and serving as editorial director for Abbeville Press, an independent publisher of fine art and illustrated books. Today he oversees the company’s sales and business development efforts.
A community-minded Brooklyn resident, Will serves as co-chair of the Brooklyn Youth Music Project, has coached for Brooklyn American Youth Soccer Organization, and is a fifteen-year member of the Park Slope Food Co-op.
Director of Production
With a combination of strategic thinking, flair, and hard work, Yasmin brings out the best in her production team, fostering a collaborative culture that nurtures everyone’s strengths. She oversees production and ensures we approach all projects with planning, airtight processes, and the highest attention to detail.
Originally from New Delhi, Yasmin is fluent in Hindi and Urdu. Following a four-year stint in journalism and television production, she relocated to the U.S. and spent over twenty years immersed in the translation and localization industry. After working in every part of the business for companies such as LanguageWorks and Geneva Worldwide, Yasmin brought her expertise to the Eriksen team in 2018.
She spends her nights and weekends indulging in films or graphic novels and pampering her poodle, who is aptly named Poodle.
Director of Client Services
Kevin is a master at crafting the right solution for any client. As leader of Eriksen’s client services team, Kevin uses his experience, drive, and strategic insights to build a client-focused organization that delivers high-quality results.
With over 17 years of industry experience, Kevin held key roles for companies including TransPerfect and LanguageWorks (now Ubiqus), overseeing all aspects of the business, from vendor management to business development, client relationships, and production.
A lifelong musician, Kevin plays drums in several bands. He’s an avid record collector and sports fan who lives in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
As Eriksen’s financial wiz, Marta oversees the company’s accounting functions, payroll and benefits administration, and accounts payable and receivable.
Originally from Poland, Marta grew up learning English along with her native Polish. After moving to the U.S. and earning her bachelor’s degree in finance, she spent 10 years working for the accounting department of a language services provider. She learned the ins and outs of the position before bringing her expertise to Eriksen in 2018.
When she’s not in the office, Marta can often be found outside swimming, barbecuing, or working in the garden growing vegetables and herbs (basil – her favorite!).
Part of Eriksen’s Cordoba, Argentina team, Marcos knows how to find the right technological solutions to solve any problem. Eriksen’s production team enlists his expertise to develop appropriate procedures and accurate timelines for complex projects.
Marcos’ impressive resume includes a bachelor’s degree from the Instituto José Manuel Estrada, a systems engineer/analyst degree from the Instituto Universitario Aeronáutico, and a specialization in management engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. He is currently working towards his MBA. After holding IT positions for Hewlett Packard in Argentina and Scotiabank in Chile, Marcos joined the Eriksen team in 2010.
Outside the office, Marcos is a busy dad who enjoys spending time with his daughter Emma. He keeps active by playing tennis, soccer, and paintball, and advancing his study of Aikido.
Shelby knows how to make juggling look easy. As our vendor manager, she recruits, tests, and oversees our network of freelance translators and interpreters. She works closely with our production team to ensure that our vendor pool supports current and future needs.
After graduating from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in German and French, Shelby received a Fulbright grant for a teaching assistantship in Germany. Upon her return to the U.S., she spent four years as a vendor manager for Morningside Translations before joining the Eriksen team in 2018.
Shelby is a Brooklyn resident who spends her weekends visiting New York’s many museums or heading out of the city for a hike. She is an avid reader who is the proud owner of a cat named Olive.
Client Services Manager
Kelli loves fueling growth and making an impact. As Client Services Manager, she is focused on developing new relationships, learning about her clients’ business needs, and finding solutions that will help them achieve their goals.
Born and raised in Maryland, Kelli attended Gettysburg College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Affairs. While in college, she spent a semester abroad studying Spanish linguistics at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. Following graduation, Kelli began her career at TransPerfect, where she grew from Account Manager into Client Services Executive, before joining the Eriksen team in 2021.
Kelli is big into her local live music scene, and hosts concerts through Sofar Sounds, a community dedicated to creating small performances in unique locations. In her free time, Kelli can be found reading or playing tennis.
Gerome G. Guarin
Client Services Specialist
As Eriksen’s client services specialist, Gerome finds the solutions that will bring optimal value to our clients. He works closely with our sales and client services departments to build long-term relationships and ensure first-rate customer service.
Born in Manila, Philippines, Gerome moved to San Diego as a child and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California San Diego. He went on to attain his MBA from Ashford University before launching his professional career where he held operations and client services positions with Lionbridge and other leading communications companies. With over 13 years of experience, Gerome joined the Eriksen team in 2021.
Gerome fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a New York resident in 2013, where he enjoys exploring the city with his camera and trying new restaurants. He can converse in Tagalog and loves to travel. During his most recent adventure, Gerome hiked and kayaked his way around Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
Senior Account Manager
It’s his ability to listen to his clients that helps Peter deliver the right solutions. Part of the Eriksen team since 2002, Peter’s wealth of experience helps him facilitate complex projects to support clients in the finance and insurance industries.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from NYU, Peter entered the graphic arts field and was mentored by industry professionals in the art of typesetting. This led him to his career in multilingual typesetting and then translation.
Peter spends his weekends walking, swimming, biking, and taking yoga classes.
Senior Account Manager
Kristi takes pride in her work and ensures that all the details turn out right. A member of the Eriksen team since 2005, she serves as the first level of support to her clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction.
With a bachelor’s degree in French and political science, Kristi held account and project management positions with LanguageWorks and Merrill Corporation before joining the Eriksen team in 2005.
A true adventurer, she sailed around the world during college, visiting countries from Brazil to Vietnam to Japan. Outside of work, Kristi enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling to sunny places with lots of water.
Known around the office for her quick wit and animated smile, Farines excels at keeping her clients happy. On a daily basis, she guides her clients through the translation process, overseeing their jobs from kickoff to successful completion.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Farines is a native Spanish speaker who is conversant in English, French, and Portuguese. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree and completed the PROMISE training program for medical interpreting at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 2012, Farines joined the Eriksen team as interpreting coordinator and advanced into her current role.
A foodie who loves sampling all varieties of food and drink, Farines enjoys cooking and learning new ways to refine her culinary skills. She is an avid traveler, who visits Portugal and the Dominican Republic regularly.
Courtney Weiner Kreizel
Courtney supports Eriksen’s work with clients in education and health care as well as New York City agencies. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the translation and localization workflow for her clients, Courtney coordinates our interpreting services.
Courtney joined Eriksen in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of experience supporting hospital and healthcare clients for Pacific Interpreters and LanguageLine Solutions.
An ardent music fan and concertgoer, Courtney has seen the Dave Matthews Band over 40 times. She travels regularly, with her coolest adventure to date being a sailing trip through French Polynesia.
A level-headed problem solver with a love of languages, Joe oversees key accounts and spearheads a team of project managers dedicated to supporting New York public sector clients. Joe is both a hands-on project manager and a leader who makes sure his team delivers timely, culturally sensitive translations to support New York residents.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Florida, Joe taught English to middle schoolers in Lyon, France and high schoolers in rural Japan. He held vendor and project management roles with CRAFT Translation and LanguageWorks (now Ubiqus), before joining Eriksen in 2019.
Joe is an avid reader in English, French and Spanish. He enjoys watching movies from around the world and travels frequently, always excited to explore new destinations.
Senior Project Manager
No challenge seems too large for Rodrigo to handle. With an eye for detail and a wealth of technical know-how, he oversees all phases of the translation and localization process for clients in the finance and insurance industries.
A certified translator with a degree from the National University of Córdoba, Rodrigo lives and works in Argentina. He first joined Eriksen in 2006 as a project coordinator, and has moved up the ranks to his current position of Senior Project Manager.
When Rodrigo isn’t managing projects for our clients, he can be found spending time with his two young children, Lucas and Vicky. He’s an avid music fan, and even as a busy dad, he’s always up for a challenging mountain bike ride.
Senior Project Manager
An art lover and a linguist, Bettiana has been a valuable member of Eriksen’s Argentina team since 2010. She oversees all phases of translation and localization projects and supports terminology management by creating and maintaining glossaries to preserve accuracy and consistency.
Originally from northern Argentina, Bettiana began studying English when she was only eight, and has since learned Italian and French. She graduated from the prestigious National University of Córdoba as a Certified Public Translator and is now working on her Master’s in Terminology Management from Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University.
A regular concertgoer, Bettiana loves music along with literature and photography. She travels often, throughout Argentina as well as Europe, Asia and the Caribbean, always making time to visit an art museum or check out a band.
Senior Project Manager
A language aficionado with an eye for detail, Bradley knows that proper planning and process make all the difference. As Senior Project Manager, he initiates, plans, and manages translation and localization projects to successful completion. Bradley works across a wide range of project types, assembling teams and keeping projects on track while ensuring flawless execution.
Originally from central Massachusetts, Bradley spent his college years studying the Chinese language, earning his bachelor’s from George Washington University and master’s in Chinese language and literature from Columbia. After moving to New York for grad school, Bradley remained in the city when it was time to launch his career in language services. He spent six years managing client accounts for Ubiqus before joining the Eriksen team in 2021.
In addition to his extensive education in the Chinese language, Bradley studied both Spanish and Latin, and spent a year teaching ESL in Beijing. An avid traveler in pre-pandemic times, Bradley has explored numerous countries across southeast Asia and Europe. He enjoys foreign movies, reading, and visiting New York’s many restaurants and museums.
Annika is our in-house Swede. After attending college in Sweden and the U.K., she moved to the U.S. in 1998 and joined Eriksen as an intern, working her way up to the role of project manager. She left in 2005 for other pursuits, before rejoining the Eriksen team in 2015.
Today, Annika supports translation and localization projects by preparing files, communicating with vendors, and ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
In addition to her native Swedish, Annika understands Danish and Norwegian and speaks some German and Spanish. Her daughter, Sofia, is fluent in Swedish as well, and the family spends a few weeks each year visiting Sweden.
Inga brings almost 10 years of language industry experience to her role as project manager. A member of the Eriksen team since 2021, Inga ensures all phases of translation and localization projects are managed to the highest standards, and delivered on time and within budget.
Born and raised in Valmiera, Latvia, Inga is a native Latvian speaker, who is proficient in English, Russian, and German. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Latvia and her diploma of higher professional education in technical translations from Riga Technical University. Inga put her language skills to use translating Russian movies into Latvian and before entering the language services industry as a project manager.
A fitness and wellness aficionado, Inga has a personal trainer certification, and dabbles in reiki and tarot cards. She volunteers with the Latvian society in Philadelphia, and enjoys hiking, trips to the beach, and spoiling her mini dachshund, Norman.
Florencia has always been a take-charge kind of girl, which makes her role as project manager the perfect fit. On a daily basis, Flor coordinates all aspects of translation and localization projects by preparing files, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring on-time deliverables.
A native Spanish speaker who resides in Rosario, Argentina, Flor earned her degree in English-Spanish translation from the Instituto de Educación Superior N.° 28 “Olga Cossettini.” After seven years working as a recruiter and project manager for RWS Moravia, Flor brought her expertise to the Eriksen team in 2021.
As a teenager, Flor excelled at competitive roller figure skating, winning national medals in Argentina. These days, she enjoys baking, pilates, reading, and spending time with her dog Murphy.
Part of Eriksen’s Cordoba, Argentina team, Daniela brings versatility and a passion for languages to her role as project manager. She helps her clients bridge communication barriers by overseeing translation and localization projects from kickoff to completion.
A native Spanish speaker, Daniela graduated with degrees in English-Spanish translation and journalism from the National University of Córdoba. She returned to complete a one-year course in localization of multimedia content at the same school. Daniela held positions in service management and IT in both Argentina and Italy before joining the language industry in 2019.
In addition to Spanish, Daniela speaks English, has a working knowledge of Italian, and adores Italian culture and cuisine. An avid traveler, Daniela loves meeting people from diverse cultures and trying culinary specialties from around the world. Always eager for new discoveries, she enjoys walking around unfamiliar cities and seeking out simple pleasures such as an espresso with a sweet pastry.
A language industry veteran, Erica knows that the key to successful project management is planning, communicating, and staying organized. A member of the team since 2021, Erica oversees translation projects for New York City and State agencies that provide assistance to vulnerable New Yorkers. Day to day, she initiates, schedules, and manages multiple projects in many languages, working closely with the production team and linguists to ensure deliverables meet clients’ needs.
Originally from Rosario, Argentina, Erica earned her bachelor’s degree in translation from the Institute of Higher Education No. 28 “Olga Cossettini.” After college she spent six years living in Zagreb, Croatia before moving to Germany and her current home in Schwäbisch Hall, Baden-Württemberg. Erica has extensive industry experience, having spent nine years as a lead linguist at Ocean Translations and five years as a project manager at Dotsub, overseeing the subtitling and translation of online videos.
Erica is a native Spanish speaker who learned English and Croatian and is now studying German. In her free time, she is an avid gamer who loves digging into the literature surrounding that genre. She enjoys practicing yoga, watching football (American soccer), reading mysteries, and immersing herself in a good documentary or crime drama on Netflix.
Spanish Quality Manager
Silvia is Eriksen’s Spanish-language expert. She performs translation, editing, proofreading, and cultural consulting for Spanish projects, ensuring they meet all the requirements for grammar and structure while maintaining the appropriate stylistic flavor.
A native Spanish speaker from Bogotá, Colombia, Silvia earned her bachelor’s degree in literature from the Universidad de los Andes. She moved to the U.S. in 2001 and worked as an editor and quality manager at TransPerfect Translations before joining the Eriksen team in 2004.
Silvia loves to read, particularly fiction and poetry, and participates in a Spanish book club. She keeps the creative fires burning by writing fiction and attending a Spanish-language writers’ workshop.
Juan Pablo D’Aloisio
Multilingual QA Manager
With his impeccable eye for detail, Juan Pablo is a critical member of the Eriksen production team. In his role as Multilingual QA Manager, Juan Pablo performs linguistic and post-layout proofreading of translated materials. He works across a variety of file types, making sure all translations properly adhere to client specifications, translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
Born and raised in Rosario, Argentina, Juan Pablo is a native Spanish speaker who is well-versed in graphic design and typesetting. He earned a degree in technical graphic design from the Escuela Provincial de Artes Visuales “General Manuel Belgrano,” followed by a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and visual communication from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. Juan Pablo began his career working as a desktop publishing specialist with Moravia for four years before joining Eriksen in 2021.
Juan Pablo is studying trapeze, working to refine his aerial acrobatics skills. He has been kayaking since he was a child and loves spending a day paddling on the river and exploring the wetlands surrounding Rosario. Juan Pablo enjoys playing football (American soccer), practicing his saxophone, and spoiling his dog Frida.
Faustine is an enthusiastic marketer driven by a desire to hone her skills and reach people around the world through marketing and communications. At Eriksen, she works closely with the sales and marketing teams to help build a strong network of prospects that will lead to viable client relationships.
Born and raised in the Philippines province of Camarines Sur, Faustine grew up speaking Bikol and Tagalog. Since all her schoolbooks were in English, she quickly became proficient in the language and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Faustine began her professional career supporting lead generation and marketing operations for global companies before joining the Eriksen team in 2021.
In pre-pandemic times she was an avid traveler and has visited several countries throughout Asia. Today she practices Chakra yoga, meditation, reads, and watches personal development videos. Faustine takes an active role in her community, having participated in donation drives to collect school supplies for more than 800 local elementary students.
Since joining Eriksen in 2021, Elisa has quickly become an invaluable member of the accounting team, handling billing and collections and working closely with the controller to perform a variety of administrative and accounting functions.
Elisa is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience handling bookkeeping and accounting work for companies in the service industry. With experience in all facets of bookkeeping, Elisa possesses a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and QuickBooks expertise.
Elisa spent most of her life in Long Island until making the move to Jupiter, Florida in 2019. In her free time, Elisa has taken up gardening, which she can do year-round in the warm Florida weather. She likes spending time at the beach, listening to country music, and staying in shape with speed walking.

As a standard-bearer of exemplary service, Solhästen epitomizes the tradition and spirit of Eriksen. Our logo was adapted from a Bronze Age rock carving discovered on the west coast of Sweden.
