October 22, 2021 marks Eriksen Translations’ 35th anniversary! What started as a small team working out of a Brooklyn artist’s loft has grown into a thriving company with linguists around the world supporting more than 100 languages. Read the press release here.

From September 20-24, Eriksen exhibited at the 2021 virtual Association of Zoos and Aquariums Annual Conference. 1000+ attendees joined virtually to discuss ways to fulfill the AZA mission of advancing animal welfare, public engagement, and the conservation of wildlife.

On September 14, Will Lach and Vigdis Eriksen attended the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Fall Gala with artist Sourabh Gupta and Peter Byrnes, CEO of Fundraise Up. We’re proud to have the Brooklyn Botanic Garden as a client and thank the staff for hosting a beautiful event!

From July 7-August 16, Will Lach exhibited at the 2021 National Museum Publishing Seminar. This virtual event drew a diverse community of publishing professionals working in museum settings for a seven-week series of workshops and discussions focused on the crucial and changing role of the museum.

From June 23-29, Will Lach exhibited at the annual American Library Association Conference. This virtual event brought together librarians, library staff, publishers, and educators from around the world to learn, network, and explore topics impacting the future of the library industry.

Will Lach exhibited at the online 2021 American Public Gardens Association Conference, held June 7-10. The virtual event gave Will the opportunity to engage with garden professionals from around the world and explore the ways translation can make botanic gardens, arboreta, zoos, and museums welcoming and accessible to diverse visitors.

On May 24 and from June 7-9, Will Lach exhibited at the 2021 American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting & Museum Expo. Featuring the theme “Resilient, Together,” the virtual conference brought together museum professionals from around the world, to learn from one another, create partnerships, and discuss the issues impacting today’s museum community.

On April 5-30, Will Lach attended the online MuseWeb 2021 Conference, where he presented Multilingual Museum Engagement in the COVID Era. Will’s lightning talk examined how museums around the country are responding to the pandemic with multilingual remote programming.

On Friday, March 19, Vigdis Eriksen spoke on a panel hosted by the New York Public Library, 3 Women Entrepreneurs: How They Handled COVID Challenges in Business. In celebration of International Women’s Day and National Women’s History Month, Vigdis and fellow entrepreneurs Helene Godin and Elaine Pofeldt discussed how they met the challenges COVID threw their way.

Open or closed, cultural venues have been forced to significantly change the way they welcome visitors in 2021. On March 11, Eriksen’s Director of Sales Will Lach joined Guide by Cell CEO Dave Asheim to discuss the innovative ways museums and cultural institutions have adapted programming to engage audiences during the pandemic.
